Our Year 4/5 Science class started the school year with a quick review of habitats and microhabitats. For this review, we used our school campus, and explored around to see if we could find any microhabitats and mini beasts. Also, Year 4/5 science researched different habitats to see the different plants and animals that live there.
The students then learned how each plant needs the right balance of minerals, water, light, and oxygen for their survival. Finally, the class took part in an experiment with white flowers, this was not only an opportunity for them to learn how water travels from the stem to the flower, but it was also a chance to learn how to make a hypothesis. This is just the start of our science journey. Pearson Science is Actively Learning!
