The Battle of Lepanto Through the Eyes of Children

The week at our Kindergarten concluded with the first Educational Visit of the school year, organised as part of the anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Lepanto.

Our first stop was the exhibition of visual artist Giannis Adamakis at the Fethiye Mosque, inspired by the Battle of Lepanto and the liberation of Nafpaktos. It was an educational experience that helped the children better understand the history of the region and become familiar with our cultural heritage.

The next stop was the Botsaris Tower, which hosts an exhibition of reproductions of paintings, maps, and sketches related to the Battle of Lepanto (1571 AD).

Of course, the children also explored the topic in the classroom by creating their own galleys. They had fun, gained valuable knowledge, and developed their creativity while discovering the history of this important historical event.

Finally, the picnic we enjoyed overlooking the beautiful harbour was an unforgettable experience for our young students!
